The 550 cc Carry brought to the 1990 kei rules. A larger front bumper lengthened the truck and the new F6A 657 cc SOHC 12 valve three cylinder (bore and stroke 65 by 66 mm, long stroke for low and mid range pull) replaced the 550 cc engines, with full transistor ignition. A 5MT was offered on the 2WD for the first time. Suzuki's representative figure is 38 PS at 5,500 rpm.

- A short lived generation, about 19 months. To the eye it is the 1985 Carry with a longer bumper, so the engine plate and the frame number are what tell it from the 550 cc truck.
