Kei trucks for hunting land, timber and the back forty

Farms and ranches in the 2022 Census of Agriculture held 880,100,848 acres of land, 72,066,694 of them in woodland. A kei truck is narrow and light on a two track, a food plot or a timber road, and in every state it can work private land.

The road, both lanes

What each state allows.

Of the 50 states and DC, 13 title a kei truck 25 years or older for the road, 18 open the road to it with limits, one has a road law passed and not yet in force, 10 have not settled it and nine do not register kei trucks for ordinary road use. Every state file names farms, private land or ground the owner holds among the places a newer governed truck may work.

Questions

Where is the most woodland and ranch land?

The most woodland on farms is in Texas, Missouri, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. The counties highest on woodland and land in farms together include Big Horn County, Montana; Colfax County, New Mexico; Las Animas County, Colorado; Umatilla County, Oregon; Crook County, Wyoming and Rio Arriba County, New Mexico.

Can I take it on public land?

Only where the state's off highway rules open public land and trails, and many states ask for a registration or a decal there, Texas, Montana and Colorado among them. Each state page says which.

What about a newer truck governed to 25 mph?

It enters the country as off road equipment, governed to 25 mph, and private land is where every state lets it work.
