Full model change released 20 December 2004, on a platform of its own. It was the first vehicle built at Daihatsu Shatai's new Oita (Nakatsu) plant. A boxy semi cab body with a cargo area 1,860 mm long with two aboard, 1,375 mm wide with four aboard, 1,235 mm high and a 1,950 mm floor. A sliding door opening of 770 by 1,010 mm, a back door of 1,335 by 1,145 mm and a floor 635 mm off the ground. Four colours, three of them three coat. A centre dash shift and a flat floor for walk through. Class top 2,450 mm wheelbase, three link coil spring rear, 4.2 m turning radius. EF-SE 33 kW, EF-VE 37 kW (MT) or 39 kW (AT) and EF-DET turbo 47 kW (64 PS), with 5MT, 3AT and 4AT. 20 percent better rust resistance and a stainless muffler. The TAF crash body, pretensioners on every van, dual airbags and ABS with EBD and brake assist standard on Cruise and Cruise Turbo and a safety pack elsewhere. Deck Van, CNG and welfare versions.
September 2005Variant addedHijet Cargo Hybrid, announced 29 August 2005, on sale 26 September: the first hybrid kei commercial, a thin motor between the EF-VE and a 4AT, idle stop, type LE-S320V改.

- Daihatsu's 2021 release counts the S700V as the 11th generation Cargo and says the Cargo it replaced had run since December 2004, so the S320V and S321V are one generation, split by engine.
