Questions
Asked about the Rogue and Umpqua valleys.
Can I drive a kei truck on the road in the Rogue and Umpqua valleys?
Oregon does not register kei trucks for the road. The DMV says kei class vehicles cannot be titled or registered because they were not built for US highways. The 2025 and 2026 bills to change that ended in committee. The Oregon page gives the full rule.
Can I use one on my farm in Oregon?
Yes, off the road. Oregon does not register kei trucks for the road, and a governed truck works farms, ranches, forests and private land.
What about a newer truck governed to 25 mph?
It enters the country as off road equipment, governed to 25 mph. In Oregon it works farms, ranches, forests and private land, public riding areas with a permit, highways not maintained for passenger car traffic, crossings, designated ATV highway access routes and highways between farm headquarters, fields and pastures. The Oregon page has the rest of the rule.
